What is the best way to fill out the Order Form?

List your cabinets in any order. Our Easi numbering system makes it quick to cross reference each line item to the elevations.

Enter only one edge banding and exterior material combination per order form. All cabinets come in ½ deep increments between 3" and 24" for no added charge. You may order cabinets between 24 1/2" and 48" deep for a modest charge. Order Wall, Wall Deep, Pantry and Oven cabinets using EASI System Increments.

If you wish to list your cabinets in the order the computer system requires then follow the routine below. Remember, it is not necessary to do so.

Start out with one base cabinet type. Lets say the type is Kitchen Base “KB” and begin with the base corner cabinets, Base Angle “KBA” and Base Lazy Susan “KBL”. Next, enter tall cabinets that mount on toe kicks, Pantries “P” and Oven’s “O”. Next enter the Base cabinets, “KBD, KBDD, KBSC, KBDB”. After that, enter the Wall corner cabinets, Wall Angle “WA” and Wall Lazy Susan “WL”. Continue with Wall and Wall Deep cabinets, “W” & “WD”. Go to the next base cabinet type needed “MV, SV, DB” and follow the same procedure, “one cabinet type” base corner cabinets, tall cabinets, base cabinets, wall corner cabinets, wall and wall deep cabinets. Repeat for as many types as needed.  List any additional items like panels, fillers or hardware on the Order Form following your list of cabinets using the Order Form like lined notebook paper. The base cabinet types are Kitchen Base “KB”, Master Vanity “MV”, Standard Vanity “SV” and Desk Base “DB”.  Bookcase cabinets are Pantries “P” used as bookcases.

How does the numbering system work?

Orders can have more than one page. List the page number and number of pages at the top right of each order form. Ex: Pg 1 of 3.

On Pg 1 of your order form, the first line is Line 1 making Page-Line (1-1). The second line makes Page-Line 1-2. For multiple page orders there will be Pg 2 - Line 1 making Page-Line (2-1) and so on. We will fill out the Order Form Confirmation in the order you filled out the order forms.

With an order we create the Elevation Drawings.

On the Elevation Drawings, at the bottom by the date, the computer assigns the “Room” number. The “Cabinet” number is in the lower left corner of the cabinet.

On the Order Form Confirmation that Room-Cab number is entered to the left of each Page-Line for convenient cross referencing.

How do I make my cabinet number match your number?

Use the Order Form Confirmation (OFC) and write your number in the left margin next to the Room-Cab & Page-Line.

Each EASI System cabinet you receive will be labeled with the Room – Cab number.

Then transfer your number from the OFC to the cabinet.

Can I get the EASI System made from materials other than white?

The EASI System can be used with any material. Select materials from the drop down boxes on the On-Line Order Form or you can enter any material that is not listed.

Enter only one exterior, interior and edge banding material combination per order form.

On an order that only one or two cabinets require a special material you may specify that material in the Special Instructions column without submitting a separate order form.

The costs for materials other than white melamine are added under Additional
Items on the OFC.

Can cabinets be ordered less than 12” deep?

Yes they can. All cabinets come in ½ deep increments between 3" and 24" for no added charge. You may order cabinets between 24 1/2" and 48" deep for a modest charge.

Can I get wall cabinets more than 12" deep?

The Cabinet Type for extra deep wall cabinets is “WD”. They start at 12 ½” and go to 24 in ½” increments. Base and wall cabinets deeper than 24” are available for an additional charge.

Do shelves come with my order?

Yes. Standard base cabinets get one shelf and a 30 ¼" high wall cabinet has two shelves. Generally cabinets get one shelf for every 12” of clear space. You can request other quantities in the Special Instructions column on the Order Form.

What is the correct way to order section heights? (horizontal partitions)

Section heights are the clear inside height between partitions or between a partition and the top or bottom. List each section height required in the Special Instructions column. The section heights are displayed just underneath the Horizontal Partition on the elevations sent with the confirmation of your order.

When matching a pantry top section door to a wall cabinet door, take the wall cabinet section height, add 3/8” (10mm) and use it for the Pantry or Oven top section height. If you find it easier or need more room you may include a simple line drawing with your order.

How do I measure the length of the return panel?

You may order any size return panel you wish. In the special instructions column on the Order From indicate whether it is a right return panel (RRP) or a left return panel (LRP). The return panel will be made from the same material as the Exterior Material entered on the Order Form.

The return panel is mounted on the face of the cabinet and it will flush to the face of the door.  Please indicate if the RP is fully exposed so the mounting fasteners will not be exposed.

The formula we like to use for base cabinets with a return panel is;

First determine the exact length of the opening. That is the clear length from the adjoining wall and the next cabinet. Then subtract ¼” (6mm) or more from that length which leaves a little room for adjustment. Add the adjacent cabinet depth plus ¾” for the door thickness plus 3” for the spacer. 3” spacers fit most base applications and 2" for wall applications. Remember to use the same spacer width on the adjacent wall.

Ex: lets say the adjacent cabinet is 24” deep, the door is ¾”, the filler is 3” then  minus a ¼” + 24” + ¾ + 3” = 27 ½”  (698mm).

12” deep wall cabinet return panels are, minus a ¼” + 12” + ¾” + 2” = 14 ½”  (368mm)

How do I order light valance cabinets?

The best option is to order the cabinet the height required when the doors cover the light valance. Indicate which cabinet receives a lite valance in the Special Instructions column on the Order Form and we will move the bottom up two system increments - 64mm  (2 ½”). Always use 32mm ( 1 1/4") increments for this option. We see 1 1/4" LV's more often lately.

If two cabinets are to span a light valance note which cabinet side will be shortened in the Special Instructions column on the Order Form. (Ex: RRS right side short) If 3 or more cabinets span a light valance, order the middle cabinet the same height as the other two and in the Special Instructions column indicate that both cabinet sides will be shortened. We recommend full height cabinet sides against a wall to smooth the process of installing scribes.

Can I add drawers to a pantry or oven cabinet?

Yes you can. List how many drawers you require in the Drawer Options column on the Order Form and the section height required in the Special Instructions column.

Use this feature to make dressers, closet systems or special height drawer bank cabinets.

Do the cabinets come with toe kicks?

Can I get cabinets made to my specifications?

EASI System Base cabinets are fixed in height. KB = 30 ¼”,  MV = 29”,  SV = 26 ½” and DB = 24 7/16” with the top drawer fixed at 6” in height. We can provide cabinets with special machining instructions including height, width & depth along with the relative costs associated with the special request. Please note that instructions for cabinets with special machining are written on the elevation drawings that are submitted for your approval.

How do I estimate orders using special materials?

For an exact estimate we are glad to do it for you. To estimate the cost of your order this method should get you close. For individual cabinets requiring special material or sizing, a 25% up charge for each applies along with the cost of the special material. For orders made completely of a special material, add the cost for the number of panels needed.
